The Tyler Spartans hosted their first Scout Day at Tyler High on November 5th, 2023. The Spartans have recently become a partner program with the New Balance Future Stars Series, one of the fastest-growing and most prestigious organizations in baseball. The relationship has a deep history and started back in 2011, when current Future Stars Series CEO and former Milwaukee Brewers scout, Jeremy Booth, signed Spartans President, Chris McFarland, to his professional contract.
Former MLB scouts, Pat Murphy, and Robbie Moen ran players through a series of evaluations. Each Spartans player receives a full MLB scouting report with feedback for development.
