New Balance Future Stars Series

About
The New Balance Future Stars Series (NBFSS) is an elite player development and scouting program designed to identify, develop, and promote top amateur baseball talent. It was created to provide a platform for young athletes to showcase their skills to Major League Baseball scouts and college coaches.

Player Development Focus

The Future Stars Series focuses on developing players’ skills both on and off the field. It includes top-level coaching, exposure to advanced training techniques, and feedback on areas for improvement. The program aims to prepare athletes for the next level of competition, whether that’s in college or professional baseball.

National and International Reach

The program features players from the U.S. and other countries, giving it a global footprint. Talent from various regions competes in events such as combines, tournaments, and showcases that attract scouts from MLB teams and college programs.

Showcase Events

Regional Combines: Athletes participate in combines that are similar to MLB tryouts. Players perform drills to show off their hitting, pitching, fielding, and running skills.
National Tournaments: Top performers from the regional events may get invited to national tournaments or showcase games.
Scout Days: Each player attending a Scout Day event receives a full MLB scouting report written by a professional scout who has signed MLB players. Player profiles and evaluations are logged into the PROGRAM 15 Proprietary Scouting Database and made available to college and pro scouts across the country. Players are also evaluated for the opportunity to advance to a New Balance Future Stars Series Combine.

Pathway to the Pros

The program serves as a stepping stone for young athletes who aspire to play at higher levels, with many players going on to be drafted by MLB teams or securing college baseball scholarships.
